An Island Touch is a team of practitioners who have undertaken their health education and understanding of the human body as a life purpose. We are a team of strong and gifted therapists possessing a united passion for helping others; each one of us having the ability to use our education and experience to the fullest, resulting in quality service to all our clients. While being sensitive and compassionate, we take our clients’ needs seriously and are fully committed to their recovery.

Alaina Rastelli

s owner of An Island Touch and a licensed massage therapist Alaina is trained and certified in over 37 massage modalities. In addition, her love for the human body and how it can overcome and restore itself to a state of radiant health has been her life-long curiosity and awe leading her into further education and certification in Herbal Medicine, Certified Personal Trainer, Art Therapy and Mind Body Connection.

With over 18 years experience her bodywork style weaves together Deep Tissue/Neuromuscular techniques with a therapeutic flow; facilitating each session to the clients needs and goals. She addresses physical issues with regard to structural alignment, injury, range of motion and lifestyle habits. Encouraging mind-body awareness and educating clients to take an active role in their own healing and personal development. Alaina has a skillful and attentive approach to her bodywork that creates a nurturing and effective experience.

Whether you are seeking a deeply relaxing massage, recovering from an injury or incorporating preventative health maintenance; Alaina is able to work within your individual focus and create a session or series of sessions to suit you.

Julia Pipirus

Julia has been working as a massage therapsit since 1998. She went to massage therapy school at Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in Sarasota, Florida. She then worked primarily with chiropractors for the next 5yrs in western Massachusetts. She then moved to Martha's Vineyard in 2004, from where she has traveled, lived and worked in various places in the off seasons. Her approach is unique, intuitevly guided and gets very specific. Gentle yet deep and unique to each clients needs at that particular moment. She delights in helping clients along in their unwinding. Her interests include travel, hiking,sailing, yoga, dance, social and environmental solutions and healthy cuisine.

Jessica Crawford

essica began her career as a professional massage therapist in 2007, having been drawn to connect deeply on a healing level with the world. With a background in competitive gymnastics, dance, and yoga, she has an experiential understanding of the body and it’s kinesiology. She works with great presence, awareness, and intuition, truly tapping into each client’s needs.  She approaches imbalances, blockages, discomforts and injuries in accordance with the whole body, knowing that most issues present themselves from a not so obvious source, and true freedom comes when all systems are working harmoniously. She has extensive education and training in various modalities of bodywork and energy work including HeartMind Shiatsu, Thai Yoga Bodywork, Reiki, Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Therapeutic Massage and Myofascial Release and draws from all of these practices for each customized session. She has also been a certified yoga instructor since 2008 and specializes in private yoga sessions with her clients, which proves to have a profound affect on the progress of regular massage and bodywork.
